On March 22, 2020, the Victorian government announced the implement of a shutdown of all non-essential activity across the state to combat the spread of COVID-19.
At this time, Caulfield south dental surgery will remain open in order to provide essential services to those where it is absolutely necessary. This includes urgent treatment for patients with significant pain, infection or impact on patient health and well-being such as dental trauma, localized abscess or tooth fracture involving the nerve. We would ask that if it is not essential for you to attend the practice, please do not schedule appointments at this time, and reschedule any upcoming appointments for a few months from now.
We have now fewer, longer appointments each day to allow time between treatments to enable additional infection control measures including environmental cleaning. Seating in the waiting room has been adjusted to ensure social distancing of 1.5 meters between chairs. Surfaces in the waiting area including door handles, reception desk, phones, and pens used for signing are all wiped down with alcohol between patients. Hand sanitiser is available at front desk for patients to use.
We would also ask that patients adhere to the following requests:
The health and safety of our patients, staff and the greater community has always been of the utmost importance to us. We will continue to follow the guidelines released by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee to help prevent the spread of the virus. We will keep you updated as the situation changes, and thank you for your support and help in keeping everyone safe and healthy.
